I take in the healing force of volcanic energy and encounter the primal life force. Thus is my attraction to volcanoes. I have been to four sacred volcanic areas continuing to experience these realms through synchronicity. I continually receive personal healing by visiting the sacred volcanic grounds. In making my new art works I am depicting the energy and healing power that I receive from these sights only occasionally making the work that comes close to what I want. It is all a process. In visiting and observing nature in these sights it is as if I am observing nature for the very first time. Everything is exhilarating the life force-all is transformed. Encountering the force of nature is parallel to encountering your own self for the first time as well. Everything is interconnected, your body is encountered for the first time again. You are renewed. It is this essence of encountering primal energies that I choose to depict. If you as a viewer can receive a whiff of that from my work, then I have succeeded.
